An Ultra-Filtration (UF) Plant is a modern-day water purification system that operates by use of a semipermeable membrane in order to filter suspended solids, bacteria, and virus among other microscopic impurities that may be found in water. The process works under a pressure filtration process in which the water flows through very minute pores of membranes, which normally are between 0.01 and 0.1 microns. These are small pores that are capable of stopping harmful contaminants and the passage of clean water and essential minerals.

The Ultra- Filtration system does not use chemicals as opposed to the conventional filtration systems, which use chemicals to treat water. It is very effective in getting rid of turbidity, pathogens, and colloids, rendering the water clean and safe to use in several applications.
